Frank joined HSBC in 2019 and is Head of Technology Equity Research in Asia, focusing
on regional technology strategy and thematic ideas as well as the coordination of HSBC’s
tech views and products. Frank has nearly 20 years’ experience in Asian equities, including
in sell-side equity research and sales and as a hedge fund analyst. He has cultivated strong
relationships with technology industry leaders both in Asia and in Silicon Valley. Frank has a
BSc in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, from which he
graduated in 1995.

Frank He joined HSBC Qianhai Securities Limited in 2017 as Head of IT Hardware Research,
covering the semiconductor, handset supply chain, telecom equipment and auto electronics
sectors. Previously, Frank was an analyst with two leading global brokerages from 2010 to 2017,
responsible for research on the clean energy, infrastructure and conglomerate sectors. From 2007
to 2010, Frank was a lead technology and Internet research analyst with a Chinese securities firm
in Hong Kong. He holds a BSc in actuarial science from the University of Hong Kong.
